Youth Leadership & Development

KYS Consulting Group specializes in programming and services rooted in creating safe spaces for youth, emphasizing youth-leadership, and centering youth-autonomy. We offer both support for organizations looking to improve or expand their youth-services along with direct service provision through local partnerships as well as offering various youth programs in rural NC counties.

Organizational Support

We are happy to support your organization in their mission to implement trauma-informed, culturally-safe, youth-centered services. This can look similar to our internal capacity-building work in which we walk alongside you and assist with assessing and enhancing new and existing services, offering trainings for staff, and streamlining systems directed toward supporting youth.

We are also equipped to partner with your organization to provide requested youth-services directly to your clients through your programs. This could include:

  • Youth-focused training to develop essential skills and knowledge
  • Offering counseling, mentorship, and educational support
  • Hosting workshops and community activities for youth

Direct Service & Partnerships

LEAD Program: In partnership with local nonprofit, Mindset Kidz, LEAD (Leading, Educating, Advocating, Developing)  is a mentorship program for youth aged 13-17 that provides hands-on work experience, personalized career coaching, and leadership development opportunities

Solutions to Prevent Human Trafficking Among Women and Girls: KYSCG is leading a groundbreaking project funded by the HHS Innovation Challenge. This project aims to equip young women and girls in rural communities by educating them about human trafficking. It raises awareness of trafficking indicators, identifies policy gaps, and equips young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to advocate for change. KYSCG will assist youth with the following initiatives:

  • Launch a youth-led podcast to disseminate valuable insights and raise awareness about human trafficking
  • Collaborate with their peers to explore and propose policy solutions tailored to prevent trafficking within their communities
  • Provide valuable work experiences through partnerships with local businesses
  • Support youth centered projects that promote advocacy, creativity, and community impact
